This chapter guides you through the initial hardware and software installation of Dolphin Express and SuperSockets. This means that no Dolphin software is installed on the nodes or the frontend prior to these instructions. To update an existing installation, please refer to .

The recommended installation procedure, which is described in this chapter, uses the windows installer image *.msi distribution of the Dolphin Express software stack.
